The Office of Open Space and Parklands is seeking an experienced manager to lead, manage and deliver a range of open space, urban canopy and playspace programs. The role is responsible for managing a team to achieve the timely delivery of the programs, engagement with stakeholders and the meeting of key performance measures for each of the programs across NSW.
The primary purpose of the Manager Open Space Programs is to:
- Determine the scope and develop dynamic, innovative and creative solutions for projects managed – from early stages through to delivery, including overseeing pilot projects that highlight and document best practice in the planning, design, delivery and management of green infrastructure as part of the Open Space and Parklands Program.
- Determine the structure, governance and delivery mechanisms for the Open Space and Parklands program including Everyone Can Play in NSW, Five Million Trees for Greater Sydney and other programs that may be announced.
- Manage the delivery and reporting, (performance and financial) on all grant programs associated the Open Space and Parklands program. Coordinate with other government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure leading and best practice program outcomes are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Lead a team of subject matter experts and project management staff in the planning and delivery of the Open Space and Parklands Program and projects across NSW.
