If so, the Office of Open Space and Parklands is seeking two creative and strategic thinkers to join the team.
The Senior Open Space Designers work closely with specialist design consultants within a multidisciplinary team to provide design excellence advice that will lead the development and delivery of high quality open spaces, parklands and urban canopy across NSW. This role will lead the creation of new parklands and work towards the achievement of green infrastructure improvements for NSW.
We are seeking experience people who will be innovative and strategic as they lead the management of a collaborative design processes across the Department of Planning and Environment and with other Agencies to ensure best practice outcomes and creation of sustainable, adaptable and flexible open spaces that meet community needs and aspirations.

The Office of Open Space and Parklands was recently formed to promote more and better outdoor places for everyone across NSW. The team’s projects are a major focus for the Minister.
The Office is responsible for leading Open Space and Greening planning and programs across NSW to promote strategic open space and inclusive playspaces across for all NSW residents. It is also responsible for increasing Sydney’s urban canopy through its five Million Trees for Greater Sydney program.
The Office engages closely with key stakeholders including local councils, government agencies, industry and the NSW community to deliver its high-profile programs.
