About the Role:
This one year full time position is responsible for managing the preparation of cultural strategy to support significant City shaping projects within the City of Parramatta. This role will be responsible for delivering the ‘Parramatta Art and Culture Walk’ project which includes a strategy for the Cityscape Walk and Art and Interpretation Plans for the City River foreshore and the Civic Link. The role will involve managing collaborative processes that integrate cross functional objectives and the outcomes of community and stakeholder engagement to ensure the delivery of projects are consistent with Council’s Major Priorities and Strategic Objectives (including Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, Culture in Our City Cultural Plan, Parramatta City River Strategy and the Civic Link Framework Plan).
On a daily basis you will manage consultants to deliver the Parramatta Art and Culture Walk project and incorporate feedback from engagement with internal and external stakeholders and community members to ensure this project achieves a range of cross functional objectives including but not limited to urban design, public art, heritage, archaeology, cultural, community and social outcomes.
About the Person:
The successful candidate should have extensive operational experience in a related field (typically eight years plus) with demonstrated high level application of analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills in a complex, multidisciplinary environment within a government context.
An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person is desirable (Authorised under Section 14d, NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
